Indian luxury - decor, comfort, service and food. Such nice staff. The food came fairly quickly and had excellent flavours, especially the Chicken Tikka and the Lamb Rogan Gosh. Stylish restaurant, close to Dundas Street. They deserve to do well.

Delicious and complex flavours, authentic Indian food so fresh and great textures make for a great meal. Decor is dramatic and impressive so opulent and yet cosy. Staff a dream, lovely and friendly.

This is truly excellent food, service but very important to note is the cleanliness and friendly staff. Food is superb and I encourage to visit or order a take away. You will not be disappointed.

We decided to conclude our holiday in Scotland with an Indian meal and found the perfect place: Celestia is a rather new restaurant, pretty close to the city center (the location allows a nice stroll through Stockbridge - a welcome change to the more touristy areas). The food (Biryani and Butter chicken) was really tasty and fresh and the staff attentive; waiting time was not long in our case (on a Monday). For perspective: We had some mixed experiences in other well-rated places during this week, but as for Celestia: Full marks from us!

We had dinner at Celestia 2 nights ago and were delighted with the food which was superb. Being only 2 people, we could only order so much, so will need to go back to sample other items on the menu. But the Chicken Biriani, the aubergine(brinjal), and the South Indian prawn curry were excellent. The gulab jamuns for dessert just hit the spot! Very authentic food, delightful service and we promise to come back for more.

This is a real gem of a place! Authentic freshly cooked food which is not your standard fare but imaginative and different takes on Indian dishes. Fresh, plentiful without being stodgy, a good choice of meat, fish and vegetarian options. The service is friendly, professional and discreet. We are returning diners and thoroughly recommend a trip to the New Town for a really good meal!
